Terms and Conditions

Booking:

Once you have purchased your voucher online or by sending a cheque, please call 0781 3731925 to book your flight. FlyScenic cannot guarantee availability on a particular day, so please be flexible.

On the day:

It is important that you call 0781 3731925 after 08:30 on the day of your booking to ensure conditions are suitable. Please arrive at the airfield 10 minutes before your scheduled flight time and go to the café, where you will be met. There is no need to check-in at the office. You will sit in the right hand seat of the aircraft. Approximately 5 minutes will be taken up with taxiing on the runway and running through the pre-take off checks. For the rest of the time booked you will be in the air.

Weather:

Flying is entirely dependent on the weather and your flight may have to be rescheduled if the conditions are not safe for flight. The weather conditions may also dictate the route taken; e.g. visibility may be sufficient to fly in some areas but not good enough to fly over the higher land of the Peak District. The conditions in the air may be very different from those on the ground near your home, so please don’t assume that the weather will be OK.

FlyScenic will endeavour to ensure you do not have a wasted journey, so it is very important that you phone 0781 3731925 on the morning of your flight to check it will go ahead. The decision will be made by the pilot and is final.

Voucher Validity:

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. After 12 months, vouchers may be extended for another 3 months on payment of an administration fee of £20.

Cancellation:

Rescheduling within the 24 hours before your booked flight time is not permitted and payment will be forfeited (unless the circumstances are exceptional). Rescheduling between 30 days and 24 hours before the booked flight time will attract a £10 administration charge. This does not apply if the flight has to be rescheduled by the pilot due to safety reasons e.g. due to weather.

Insurance:

The pilot will comply fully with Civil Aviation Authority requirements regarding insurance. This covers the flight and third parties, but will not cover you while you are outside the aircraft at the airfield. This flight is undertaken at your own risk and in the knowledge that any incident while outside the aircraft on the airfield premises is not the responsibility of the pilot.

Medical Restrictions:

The weight limit is 100 kg (15 stone 10 lb). You must not fly if you are pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
